These power supplies are suitable for aircraft and airborne systems, radar, navigation systems, other military electronic devices requiring a 20Hz–50Hz medium-frequency power supply, as well as various other applications; they represent the next-generation replacement for modular variable frequency power supplies. These units are compatible with both balanced and arbitrary unbalanced three-phase loads, and can also be used as single-phase power supplies. They are capable of accommodating various types of loads—such as resistive, capacitive, and inductive loads—as well as all types of hybrid loads.
