These power supplies can be applied to aircraft and airborne systems, radar, navigation systems, and other military electronic devices, as well as any application requiring a medium-frequency power supply ranging from 500 Hz to 2000 Hz; they represent a next-generation replacement for conventional modular frequency-conversion power supplies. These units are suitable for both three-phase balanced and arbitrary unbalanced loads, and may also be used as single-phase power supplies. They are compatible with various types of loads—including resistive, capacitive, and inductive loads—as well as all types of hybrid loads.
